Sam lay on her bed, her socked feet up on the wall by the head of her bed. Her right fore-finger conducted in time to the music blaring into her ears while she hummed along.
Her mobile, which lay on her stomach, began to vibrate. She picked it up, to see that it was a call from Judy. She swiped off the headphones to take the call.
'Hey,' Judy said. 'What you doing?'
'Just relaxing, been listening to music, nothing much,' Sam replied.
'So, wassup between you and Matt? I know something happened,' Judy asked.
'I'm just mad at him, k? He's so arrogant, thinking that I'm a 'prize' that he has plans for,' Sam answered miserably.
'Where did you hear that?' Judy questioned Sam.
'On Facebook, on Thursday afternoon. What a selfish .....' Sam trailed off.
'I'm not so sure that ...' Judy said thoughtfully, '... That that's what he meant. He isn't that type of person. I'm going to find out something.'
'Fine ... Whatever you like,' Sam shrugged indifferently.
