Interlude

A Christmas Medley - 12th December

Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,
and the ears of the deaf unstopped;
then the lame shall leap like a deer,
and the tongue of the speechless sing for joy.

Sam hummed along to the music as she laid the wrapping paper out on the floor. Next to her was a pile of presents, already wrapped, while those that were as yet unwrapped were waiting on her other side. She was inexplicably happy, and even the rainy day outside wasn't going to dampen her mood.

Reaching for the next present, her thoughts returned to the events of the night before, and the reason for them. She still wasn't sure what was going on, but one thing she was sure of - that God was telling her something. If only she could figure out what.

She was slowly realising that Matt was somehow going to be involved ... a fact that she would previously have rejected vigorously. Not that she welcomed the possibility, but she was more willing to watch and see what happened than she would have been even a week ago.

God was also beginning to feel more real to her than he ever had before. Her night time companion must surely be God, and she felt so privileged that he was bothering with the likes of her. Especially when she considered the last few months.
